The San Andreas State Police have officially closed their doors in Vinewood and have re-opened the Rockford Police Station after a horrid insect issue had previously closed them down.
this change will spread the police department out significantly more as mission row and Vinewood were quite close. Now the department has a station on either side of the city as well as a comfortable spot in Sandy and the ranger station in Paleto.
A press release was released this morning around midnight to the press stating the following:
For Immediate Release:
Effective December 20th, 2025 at 2:00PM EST, the day to day operations of the San Andreas State Police will officially transition from Vinewood Police Department to Rockford Police Department.
This move marks the department’s long awaited return to RPD headquarters after being forced to relocate years ago due to an unprecedented and frankly disrespectful ant situation. After
extensive cleanup efforts and the successful hiring of what can only be described as a very enthusiastic team of ant eaters, the building has been cleared, secured, and declared fit for
human occupation once again.
With the ants gone and morale high, the department is excited to resume operations from RPD and continue serving the community with professionalism, dedication, and significantly fewer
insects.
We thank the public for their patience, understanding, and tolerance of our ongoing battle with nature. If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out to any member of the LEO
Command team.
Sincerely,Gabriella Kennedy
Commissioner, San Andreas State Police
