It would appear that the city has well and truly broken out of the icy grip of winter with many commenting on the local population increasing with the new spring air.

This reporter decided to do her own research and whilst out and about on a general drive from Vespucci to Public Works HQ found not one, not two, BUT NINE abandoned vehicles along the way prompting this reporter to ask the question: WHAT THE HECK!? Speaking with several of employees of Public Works, they quoted the same feelings saying: “we have definitely seen an increase recently, we do our best to clean them up but … there’s only so much we can do about it …” and another stating: “it’s awful!”

And this sentiment is shared with a lot of citizens around the state with statements such as:

Traffics heavy you know, there’s a lot of people who don’t know how to fucking drive.

“It’s very fun but the locals don’t have drivers license so sometimes they do do stupid stuff.”

Robbie Valentino – fuck all the locals!

Speaking with one of the employees at the local coffee shop: Black Hawk, a Mr Elliot Greene stated:

“A lot of locals come down for Spring Break or go away for the winter to escape the snow so that could be why we’ve seen more…”

Speaking with D21 Demitrius Deddario of the SASP he states:

Sometimes it’s good and sometimes its bad.” When questioned what to do in the event of finding an abandoned vehicle: “Call Public works, they’re great … call 311 in an emergency if they aren’t available!

Do you feel the same way? Have you noticed an increase in traffic incidences and violations? Should we be taking more consideration whilst on the road, especially with the recent Points System being introduced – is the DMV holding everyone to the same standard? Do we need to have our recently elected Governor put some well-needed pressure onto those who are supposed to ensure the roads are safe? What is SASP doing to combat this ever-growing worry?
