Christmas has arrived!

Surely I’m not the only one finally giddy with joy at seeing the Christmas decorations finally sparkle the city and island!?? Better yet the Christmas village! Eggnog, peppermint bark.. PUDDING, definitely eating for hibernation this season.

I found myself eager to visit this wonderland of a place and I will say.. I should have dressed better! Not only is it cold but style is defiantly found here! I first found myself amidst a very friendly group who seemed to be enjoying the market. Among them there was strong appreciation for the “WINE” along with the beauty of the ambiance of the dark night sky to the crisp merry lights… and also the wine. 

Next I found myself next to a (would you believe??) ‘corporate’ Santa! Tailored and suited for business (of eggnog) along with his crew of a side kick, elves and reindeer! Fitting to their roles as I saw nothing but mischief from the elves and flying (running) from the deers! 

As an ending note to the holiday spirit, how do we feel about rhymes? 

‘Come to winter village warm and bright 

Although the flight might cause you fright 

A market shines on winters night…

Every stand with treats so sweet…

Careful not to get them stuck in your teeth!’
