Nothing beats a good stiff drink and some interesting company – and that’s what we got at the Grand Opening of Banshees Wail – a new Irish pub themed bar – in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

The Opening involved a taste of their delicious Irish menu and alcoholic drinks: Banshee Stout and IPA. This reporters preference is always for a good IPA!

The room was decked out nicely with an emphasis on the open space and entertainment areas including a darts board, pool table and DJ booth with music played by DJ Grim. They also had a variety of local businesses there promoting their unique services including A Lily Blooms flower shop and a face painting couple!

As an avid enjoy-er of the good times, I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the venue and the vibe but I’m hoping they add a couple more alcoholic beverages to their menu as after losing a variety of pool matches to a friend and having to buy a round each time, the taste of stout can only be handled so much!

Talking to the Owner Bailey-Ann she quoted that she had plans to:

“Fill out the menu with good Irish pub food and she has some decent drinks and desserts on the way.”

One of the Bartenders of the night and who pours a mean beer Burke Herbert was quoted saying this about the event:

“Felt like it was pretty good, felt like it had good vibes … it was my first bar/restaurant that I’ve worked at … it was lots of fun, felt like we got a good amount of orders, good people coming in …”

This reporter personally hopes to see this place thrive as it was quite the enjoyable evening and if you haven’t been to the Banshees Wail, I would highly suggest it!
